As we've already said, the targets were mainly users of hud software or macros (for example, by using a Razer mouse). The third banwave was the most controversial. On balance, you can see the results of the third banwave in the NA (again by Garfm) and in Europe (by Redditor Alexander110). Wudijo had stated in the video of his Demon Hunter record that he is done with Season 5 and after the ban it is highly unlikely that he can catch up and beat his own record. Without that you would just be left with people botting to “get ahead” which WOULD actually do something if they lost the account they were trying to do that with. However, merely a day afterwards (on April 10), the bomb dropped: Wudijo, who also held multiple fist spots in various categories in both Softcore and Hardcore, fell victim to the third banwave. If literally noone bought gold/items whathaveyou, there would be no market for it. The real and true problem here is people PAYING for this stuff. They didn’t really play all that much, if they are profiting from it(made more than 40 dollars from the account being deleted) they’re just going to get another key/copy, and keep at it. Total and complete deletion of the account is about all they can do though. I support very very harsh punishments for cheating. The trick is identifying them early and DEALING with them asap. They could miss some things(I’ve been banned for botting before in another game, which was quickly turned around when I appealed it and the person reviewing the case discovered the first person made a mistake.) So its never, ever going to be a foolproof system. ![]() ![]() Real people have to check everything out. (And when that becomes a thing we are probably screwed) So none of it can really be that automated. Unfortunately there just isn’t technology out there that can adapt as fast as people can.
